About the Item

Hand knotted in wool originating from Persia circa 1950s, this antique rug connotes a distinctive Baluch tribal rug design, celebrated for bold geometry and rustic, rich colorway renown among Classic Persian rug families. This particular transitional rug employs a subtle navy blue accent in the prevailing beige-brown colorway, addressing both the defined geometric medallions as well as the repeating tribal motifs of the meandering border; complementary senses of movement with tasteful abrashes of color ideal to an antique Persian rug of this era and origin. A welcome area rug addition to the Antique & Vintage rug collection from Rug & Kilim.
