The design is an uninterrupted Herati pattern in green, tan, blue, brown, and ivory throughout. It has a navy blue main border with a turtle motif. It has an exterior border with unusual red and ivory geometric designs. The Bidjar (Bijar) rug is a very unique and extremely desirable “Herati pattern” field in an abrash antique French blue background color. The design accent colors include pink, blue, green, and cream colors. There is a large hexagonal design in rust red and a central medallion in cream and blue colors with scrolling lines. This extremely finely hand woven Farahan rug from Western Persia has a “Herati” all-over pattern set in a navy blue color field with designs in brick red, ivory.
