This vintage 5x10 Persian Kilim is a rare Bidjar flatweave and tribal rug, handwoven in wool circa 1950-1960. On the Design: This particular Bidjar Kilim marks a creative employ of a minimal palette in its use of reds, blues, and greens. Keen eyes will particularly note the subtle varieties of each in the geometric patterns, and admire the sense of movement they enjoy. It’s an exemplary Persian flatweave among Bidjar rugs of its time, and its versatile Size offers vast design applications today. Condition: This midcentury Persian Bidjar Kilim further enjoys good condition for its age and origin.

Most Bidjar rugs come with a central medallion design and it is rare to find one with an all over pattern. The Bidjar rugs are renowned for their very tight, high knot count, great designs and finally wonderful colors and this rug is no exception.
