The distinguishing features in this Khorassan rug include the use of extremely fine lush and oily wool and vegetable dyes that age and develop a beautiful Patina as can be seen in this rug. The abrash blue color shows in several different variations of blue and green tone which is the result of natural vegetable dyes and the use of a great wool that gracefully ages and develops into this wonderful 100 year plus masterpiece. The corner spandrels are in antique red and caramel. The border is in a cream color with flower design throughout.
