19th Century W. Persian Kurdish Carpet ( 3' x 14' - 90 x 427 ) The royal blue ground of this c. 1890 long piece has a mixture of flowering plants, stars, palmettes and other geometric devices, in alluring green, rose light blue and gold. The red main border is adapted from south #Caucasian weaving,but is less formal and more irregular. Natural camel hair appears in a few ornaments in this bright #Kurdish narrow runner.
