Stunning Antique Persian Arak Runner 3' 9" x 9' 3" Beautiful 1940's tribal style Persian runner handwoven in Arak. Rugs woven in this area have heavy tribal influences, due to the abundance of those with tribal heritage that reside their. Rugs from this area are well woven, attractive, and highly sought after by collectors around the world. Pieces like these are easily recognized by their weave, color pallet, and tribal stylings. This piece features a beautiful Persian wool pile woven onto a sturdy cotton foundation. Artisans in this region are expert weavers who's masterful techniques and high quality materials attribute to the lasting quality of these pieces. This gorgeous runner features the signature colors and stylings of works from this region. With a large amount of tribal influence in the area, pieces from Arak feature geometric, tribal stylings. This tribal inspired design features large motifs that are complimented with its bold, contrasting color pallet. Soft rusty pink tones are accentuated by deep navy and black tones, while being balanced out with touches of golds / creams. This timeless design is incredibly versatile and works with all decors and floors, it is truly an attractive design. Despite being almost 100 years of age, this rug has only been enhanced by it's age. Wear and age has softened up what were once vibrant tones of pinks blues and gold. It's pile is low, but it certainly attributes to the charm of this aged piece. This piece is testament to the lasting quality of rugs from this area, even in its current original condition this rug will last for another 100 years!
