Antique Bakshayesh Heriz, with Diamond Shaped Medallion, Late 19th Century

About the Item

The diamond-shaped, minutely stepped Herati-filled medallion floats serenely on an ecru open field, accompanied only by stepped en suite corners. Red strop style main border with closely spaced geometric turtles, some accented in cerulean blue. A few visible areas of spot wear. Moderate weave, fairly good and restorable condition. Moderate weave on cotton. Rug Size 10'9x15'1
