Condition notes: Areas of pile, knot heads and foundation. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Some coarse hand overwrapped selvages. Several localized areas, approximately three by five inches to five by five inches of possible touch-ups and markering, mostly found within the dark border field, otherwise etched from mordants and dyes over time. Minor contouring consistent with rugs this type and age that are woven on a wooden loom with some areas of the width 3'7" compared to cited 3'10" within normal margins. :: Allover covered field of a staggered Herati design motif with excellent contrast, geometric contour, and brilliant gem-like shade throughout, all likely in naturally derived form. Colors and shades include: Ruby red grapefruit, deep blush, bright saffron yellow, sapphire blue, forest green, burgundy wine red, black cherry red, chocolate brown, aubergine, powder blue, and more. Condition notes: Areas of high and low pile height. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Mostly secure sides and ends. Localized areas of recess to darker shades based on mordents. Side cord selvages could use a refresh at an additional cost. One area of localized tatter to the plain weave on one end. One or two small dull areas approximately two by four inches with light paraffin embedded in the pile. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use!
