About the Item
A beautiful antique Mahal carpet, hand woven circa 1900. The carpet features a much sought after all over design of large palmettes and flower heads on a rich terracotta field surrounded by an indigo border. Fabulous secondary colours of soft blues, pinks and golds and a very decorative carpet.
Size: 3.63m x 2.81m (11ft 11in x 9ft 3in)
This rug is in good condition with light, age related wear, slightly heavier in a few small places (see photos). Fringes and selvedges are secure and it has been professionally cleaned.
