About the Item

Age: Circa 1930 Colors: ivory, cerulean blue, ginger, soft scarlet red Pile: low Wear Notes: 5 Material: Wool on Cotton. Woven in the early 20th century, this antique Persian Karaja features the highly recognizable Karaja symbols of crabs and insects. Interesting size and color way. Lays flat but has a slight curve. Imperfections and character marks such as abrash and curves are not considered flaws. Rather, they are evidence of the age and handmade nature of the textile. Vintage and antique rugs are by nature, pre-loved and may show evidence of their past. There are varying degrees of wear to vintage rugs; some show very little and some show a lot. Repairs may be visible upon close inspection. 7-8 Moderate wear throughout. Some repairs may be visible upon close inspection. Most of our rugs with this level of wear have a fully restored foundation that is strong and free of holes. 9-10 Heavy wear, lots of foundation showing. Repairs may be visible upon close inspection. Most of our rugs with this level of wear have a fully restored foundation that is strong and free of holes. Patching: Some rugs have visible patches that are different from even wear. We will note these accordingly in each product description.
