In classic and vibrant shades of bright red, cream, indigo, and black wool, this multi-colored Farahan carpet measures 12’3” x 17”, and was woven circa 1880. Constructed with a traditional Persian weave on a cotton foundation, this carpet’s pile features hand-spun and organically dyed wool. The design is composed of an impressive multi-medallion design, detailed with sweeping garlands, outstretched butterflies, blooming flowers, and camouflaged caterpillars. This carpet’s pile is hand-knotted and well-maintained, this carpet’s pile is soft yet durable and will stand up to generations of everyday use.
