About the Item
With lush circles of green and pink atop a brown background, this 8' x 10' contemporary Persian area rug, "Full Moon," from the Orley Shabahang Art Deco collection showcases a pleasing asymmetric pattern across its expanse. In tones of brown and gray, the richly striated, undyed, pure wool background is crisscrossed by slightly angled lines of reddish maroon reminiscent of stained glass. Peeking through, circles of pink and green, in the subtle yet vibrant tones achieved through vegetable dyes, create points of interest throughout, the perfect accent of color in a fine art piece.
Orley Shabahang carpets, such as "Full Moon," are hand-knotted right in the homes of our artisan weavers, and utilize a totally organic process true to traditions that produces a functional art piece durable enough to be a fine heirloom carpet for the future.
