A very rare and unusual flat-weave, extremely finely woven with silky wool, decorated by an asymmetrical array of horizontal stripes on a rich red background, save for the lower third of the field which is in ivory.
A textile imbued with a strong sense of Modernism, anticipating as it were the European avant-garde movements such as the Bauhaus.
