Gashgai circa 1930 semi-Antique Vintage medium large format traditional modern
About the Item
This is one of the most powerful and lovely 20th century Qashgai’w we have had the pleasure of seeing over the years . The five individually articulated centre medallions are the focus of this fine art piece of weaving . The unusual blue , a carefully lightened indigo is most uncommon , and works well with the rouge and tawny tones of the intricately designed borders . It is in perfect condition .
Please observe the subtle all natural dye colours which have mellowed out beautifully as one wants to see in a good 19th century piece – and the subtle abrash work in the blue shading in the main field . This, a special find , on short term price reduction .
