About the Item
This Orley Shabahang signature "Nobles" carpet, from our limited series Animal Collection, was created using handspun wool and organic vegetable dyes. This contemporary twist on the traditional peacock motif, long used in Persian folk art to represent beauty and nobility, lends itself beautifully to both modern and classic settings. Included in the lower right corner of the piece is the signature of master weaver Bahram Shabahang.
Orley Shabahang works village to village, house to house with our weavers, setting the highest standard in contemporary carpet weaving to preserve this ancient craft. This carpet measures 9.1" x 12.2" and is in excellent new condition.
