It is adorned with decorative elements of florals, marigolds, hearts, rosary, and geometric accents honoring a deceased loved one on All Saint's Day. The piece was made through a process of distressing and over-dyeing, with the artist then hand-carving away the design from the pile of the rug. The original designs of the Persian rug peek through the blue colored dye with floriate vines and palmettes visible.
