Vintage Khamseh Shirz Small Carpet with a Rusty Field with Star and Dot Motives
About the Item
The rusty red field is mostly covered by two poles composed of lavishly hooked and nested flattened hexagons in slate, near black, putty and ecru. Smaller, similar hexagons up the centre and a lavish fill of Aladdin’s lamps throughout. Stars and dots fill the major motives. Borders of zig-zags, stars and hooked triangle chains. Yalameh type.
