Vintage oversize Persian Sarouk rug gallery size, circa 1930. Measures: 15'2 x 29'6. The distinctive colors of this Sarouk rug reflects the style that became so popular in the USA at the beginning of the 20th century. The soft rust-red ground so well complimented by the floral patterns in blues creates a piece that is both easy going and subdued. The outer main border again combines the dark blues with the colors of the main field. The carpet has been given a soft wash to gentle tone down the colors.
