Unique 100 + Year Old Kashkooli Gabbeh

Enchanting old pictorial Gabbeh rug, handcrafted by masterful Kashkoolis of the Qashqais. This nomadic treasure features an unusual horse depictation unique to the Nomad who wove it.
Comprised entirely of Persian wool that was raised, sheared, dyed, spun, and woven by the nomadic Kashkoolis. This rug style is known as "Gabbeh", which is the Persian word for simple. Kashkooli Gabbehs are highly collectible and this piece is no exception. This joyful design represents the love these tribes have for nature and tell the story of the native who wove it.
The age of this piece definitely attributes to it's charm. Being around over 100 years definitely has altered the rugs original state. There are some low spots and the binding had been removed. With that being said this piece is still functionable, however one of a kind works such as these look even better on the wall than your hall!
This piece, like the rest of our collection, was hand-picked by Persian Rug expert and Shiraz native, Jason Dadras. Each piece was aqquired through the relationships he forged around the world. Our rugs are ethically sourced and have been legally imported.
