Bibikabad rugs come from the Hamadan village region of western Iran. Meaning "the village of grandmother," Bibikabad families have been weaving fine, thick rugs for over a century. They typically have vibrant coloring, all-over patterning, and small scaled hooked/ paisley designs. Each knot is used symmetrically and tied by hand.
