The Tabriz rug weavers in the late 19th and early 20th centuries drew on a varied repertoire of delicate designs: multifaceted flower heads, subtle arabesques, lush vinery rendered in naturalistic detail, and precise all-over “Herati” patterns, all woven in jewel-toned or soft palettes.
