About the Item

"Caucasian Rug Kuba Konagkend 19th" East Caucasus carpet, Kuba Konagkend Circa 1840. A good example of an East Caucasian Konakend village carpet, traditional triple medallion design. The border design is also typical of this village. The rug has a very light feel due to the large amount of ivory and olive brown used in the weave. This brightly colored wool rug is dyed with natural vegetable dyes. A real museum piece.
