About the Item
"Caucasian Rug Kuba Konagkend 19th"
East Caucasus carpet, Kuba Konagkend Circa 1840.
A good example of an East Caucasian Konakend village carpet, traditional triple medallion design. The border design is also typical of this village.
The rug has a very light feel due to the large amount of ivory and olive brown used in the weave.
This brightly colored wool rug is dyed with natural vegetable dyes.
A real museum piece.

These lines also give the impression that the artist's carpet is divided into separate Chambers or compartments within the design. In this way, Paul Klee defines individual spaces within the work and connects them with line and direction. This Scandinavian rug is made in...Category
