This imposing geometric area rug is the quintessence of the Scandinavian craft in a contemporary edition. The design is inspired by a vintage mid century rug created by Märta Måås-Fjetterström in 1938. She was a true artist who revolutionized the Swedish textile tradition through her studio in Båstad. Her highly collectible designs are inspired by nature, antique oriental rugs, and ancient Scandinavian textiles. The Skvattram rugs feature all-over geometric motifs rendered in a soft ivory pile against a dark flat-weave background which creates an intriguing contrast.
