This modern rug, although presently made, strongly refers to the Classic mid-20th century Scandinavian design. It is a large flat-weave, Masterly hand-woven of high-quality wool in accordance with old and refined weaving techniques, which makes it comparable with the great creations of Judith Johansson or Marta-Maas Fjetterstrom in terms of quality and durability. Under the condition of proper maintenance, the rug will serve many years without any signs of wear.
The design, faithful to traditional Swedish rug art, comprises of simple geometric figures scattered across a striped background with a bold geometric composition. The main field is embraced by a simple border and finished with a selvage at the shorter edges of the rug. Everything is rendered in rich color palette featuring shades of blue, brown, grey, green and ivory.
