Scandinavian Modern meets Cycladic Santorini in this handwoven wool vintage Swedish rollakan rug. The striped geometric pattern and tonal blue hues woven into this piece work together resulting in a simple and modern design. The abrashed blue field features a series of horizontal bands patterned with stripes, diamonds and geometric shapes. Imbued with Scandinavian Modern style and an analogous blue color scheme, this vintage Scandinavian flatweave cultivates a desire for balance and calm.
Designed by a Scandinavian weaver. This piece is unmarked, yet still considered desirable in the modern rug world.
