76789 West Anatolian Antique Turkish Oushak Oversize Rug, Turkish Prayer Rug 12'00 x 16'10. This hand-knotted wool antique Turkish Oushak rug features two stylized Tree of Life columns and a delicate chandelier lamp hanging from the center. This antique Oushak rug was most likely woven to represent the rendering of mosque architecture. The spandrels above the mihrab are depicted in a lovely abrashed pastel pink background with a rectilinear vine scroll in time-softened hues of golden saffron and pink. The main border is equally impressive with each detailed design standing out brilliantly as it frames the entire composition. Overflowing with impeccable details, large-scale stylized vine scrolls and an impressive history rich in Anatolian culture, this antique Oushak rug is powerful enough to stand on its own. Rendered in variegated shades of khaki, champagne, beige, gold, saffron, brass, light pink, rose, verdigris, and mauve out-lined in brick red.
