About the Item

Hand-knotted in a fabulously texture wool, a 3x14 runner from Rug & Kilim’s prominent curation of rare tribal pieces. Originating from Turkey circa 1950-1960, the sketch enjoys traditional motifs on the field in warm orange, beige-brown, green & gray. The pattern displays a bold visual appeal while remaining outlined with chevrons for an added dimension. Connoisseurs & collectors may note subtle flatwoven borders with a series of geometric patterns further exemplifying this unique nomadic style. Prevailing in good condition, a specimen of unique folk art worthy of introducing exciting colors to any project it adorns. On the Design: Even further to its rarity are allusions to pictorial figures within the field medallions—often connoting representations of the weavers. While geometric humanoid figures have been seen in similar styles, they’ve seldom been enjoyed in such a lengthy runner, let alone in these vibrant, delicious hues—a testament to the fabulous distinction of this new collection.
