1960s Hand-Knotted Vintage Deco Rug in Blue, Cream Floral Pattern by Rug & Kilim

About the Item

Hand-knotted in low-sheared wool pile from Turkey circa 1960-1970, a vintage 7x10 Art Deco rug of iconic lineage, from Rug & Kilim’s Mid-Century Pasha Collection. Commemorating the collected works of a multidisciplinary Turkish artist of this period, enjoying aqua blue with cobalt, cream and white hues within the navy blue border. This particular design is a fabulous portrait, subtly enjoying an almost eastern Deco influence connoting what a diverse and joyful attitude the weaver brought to their works. Exceptionally shabby-chic and bohemian in its beauty, almost more like art than a rug and equally appealing to wall-hanging projects as it is to a wide array of flooring applications.
