Hand-knotted in wool originating from Turkey circa 1960-1970, this vintage mid-century 5x9 Deco rug belongs to Rug & Kilim’s expansive mid-century Pasha collection that celebrates the Turkish icon and multidisciplinary designer Zeki Müren’s works from this period. Carrying a distressed, low-sheared pile in a distinguished mid-century modern vibe, this piece blends Art Deco sensibilities with a symmetric geometric lattice pattern in a distinctive colorway of warm beige-brown—the muted changes of which lend a delicious, smart sense of movement. One of our principal Josh’s favourites in color and pattern, a befitting choice for neutral themes and minimalistic projects not to mention country homes, farm houses, ski lodges, cabins, and other projects welcoming soft colors sitting beautifully in this size.
