Ashly Fine Rugs presents a 21st-century Turkish Oushak 9x11 Ivory, Yellow, & Rust hand-woven antique recreation. Oushaks began in a location just south of Istanbul, in a region that was to become the rugs namesake, Oushak. Although nomads first produced the rugs for personal use only, since the 15th century, Oushak was the center of significant production of Turkish rugs. These elegant pieces were created by our in-house designers and woven by our expert weavers in Turkey with all hand-spun vegetable-dyed wool. This beautiful Oushak area rug has an ivory background with the design, details, and border all consisting of Rust, Yellow, Tan, Khaki, Green, and Light Blue. Being completely handwoven and made with all-natural vegetable dyes, these rugs are sheared and given a 1/4" pile height to give an authentic antique feel and handle. Nonetheless, this is a great rug for a living space, dining room, bedroom, or wherever its antique feel is desired.
