About the Item

This vintage Central Anatolian rug has two linked geometric medallions at its center in soft, faded orange that are decorated with colorful abstract stars against a rich, dark coral pink. The corner-pieces are in dark indigo and feature a dense pattern of dark coral pink floral heads in latticed form. The main border in pale yellow is filled with large, colorful geometric star motifs in red, ivory, cerulean blue, light blue, brown and faded orange. The rug is hand knotted with natural sheep's wool, has soft medium pile, in good condition and sturdy. Its color palette of soft and vibrant tones, rectilinear outlines and quirky design have a joyful tribal feel to it. It could be a great complementary piece for contemporary, boho, eclectic and mid-20th century style interiors.
