5x8 ft Vintage Handmade Turkish Kilim with Southwest Style, (FlatWeave) All Wool
About the Item
A simple yet beautiful wool rug handwoven by the nomadic tribes in South Central Turkey in the 1960s. This banded flat-weave/kilim was traditionally woven in two pieces and then hand-stitched. It features a striped design with stepped geometric medallions at its center, in a nuanced color palette of dark and light charcoal gray, black, mocha brown, burgundy, red, orange, ivory and white. The design is very reminiscent of the American Southwest style.
The kilim is reversible, in very good condition, sturdy and clean. We can modify the dimensions if requested, ie. make it shorter and/or narrower. We can supply a suitable rug-pad if requested for extra cushioning and protection from wear and tear.
