A finely hand knotted rug from the small town of Melas in South West Turkey that has been a famous rug making center, since 18th century.
This beautiful example is well drawn and in excellent condition. Soft medium wool pile on wool foundation.
Muted earthy colors; beige, tan, sand, light blue, mustard yellow, rust. Measures: 9.7 x 13.7 ft.
