Antique Reyhanli Kilim Rug Wool Old Eastern Anatolian Turkish Carpet
About the Item
This is Eastern Anatolian Antique Kilim from the Reyhanli region with a rare and beautiful color composition.
Due to its outstanding quality, the old Reyhanlı kilim is highly acclaimed around the world as one of the finest kilims woven in Anatolia. This is just one of them. A border with a design of leaves and vines is said to be one of the requirements for Reyhanli kilims. Another feature is that it has multiple borders. It seems to be a common design to have compartmentalized square panels lined up vertically. The quality of the weave is also great. It is made of thin, tightly spun thread and is woven very precisely. The surface is so smooth that you can't feel the texture, and it has grown over time to become even more pleasant to the touch. The beautiful burgundy color is eye-catching. The contrasting colors, such as the white of the cotton, deep navy blue, and dark blue with a hint of green, are also impressively beautiful.
These beautiful colors are also one of the features of this famous Reyhanli kilims. The most highly regarded Reyhanli kilims are those made before the turn of the 20th century. Only antiques like this one; You probably won't see anything like this very often. Such a valuable and wonderful antique kilim.
