Central Anatolian "Jijim" rug. An old tribal flat-weave rug from central Turkey, woven in the intricate "jijim" brocading technique. The rug was woven in two symmetrical halves, a common practice for tribal weavers utilizing narrow looms at home. This rug is a lovely example in very good state of preservation.
