This hand knotted wool vintage Turkish Oushak rug features a large-scale medallion anchored with palmette pendants floating in an abrashed and weathered brick red field. The ornate medallion outlined in a garland of acanthus scrolls with extending sprig blossoms. A rose bouquet with leafy tendrils grace each corner spandrel. It is enclosed with a rectilinear border flanked with an inner guard band. Set off with its highly decorative aesthetic and stylish levels of complexity, this distressed Oushak rug beautifully highlights time-worn charm and elegance throughout its enticing composition.
