Early 20th century Turkish Oushak in a near square size which is rare and very desirable. The rug has a medallion geometric design similar to the famous 18th century Mamluk rugs from the Ottoman period in a field of Tan and Chocolate colors. The center medallion is contained in a pink cover background with the shades of pale green and brown. The four corners contain smaller size medallions in pink and pale green colors. Extremely rare and very desirable Square oversized Turkish Oushak from the early 1900s in soft shades of cream, red, pink, green, and pale yellow colors. The Oushak rug is in the style of the Persian Serapi rugs from the mid-1800s. It has an open design set in a cream color field with corner spandrels in pale green color. A wonderful pale salmon color border frames the rug beautifully. There are large geometric forms on the border again reminiscent of the Persian Serapi rugs.
