Eliko Rugs by David Ariel Turkish Sparta Rug, Aqua Field, Salmon Borders
About the Item
A very bold main border of torn acanthus diagonals alternating with lotus palmettes frames the straw field with an allover pattern of petal palmettes, stars and square rosettes. Moderate/coarse weave, nut a cut above the usual red and blue Spartas. Generally good condition. The aqua field is unusual and its coupled with a stunning salmon border. A beautiful vintage piece with a light level of wear.
