Pair of Vintage Turkish Oushak runners, Matching Tribal Style Hallway runners. This pair of nearly identical hand knotted wool vintage Turkish Oushak runner feature three layered latch-hooked medallions spread across an abrashed brick red field. Simple hooked spandrels and pyramid shapes reach towards the center, echoing the angular designs used throughout. The large main border features a series of fertility symbols in alternating colors. This motif is also repeated in the center of each medallion. Panels of diamonds adorn each end of the field, while a diamond and running-water motif outer guard border frames the composition. Time-softened colors and just the right amount of age-wear enhance this charming pair of Oushak runners’ comfortable appeal.
