Handwoven in a wool flatweave, originating circa 1950-1960, this 6x14 vintage Turkish gallery runner kilim is an excellent example of the slit weave and is dense with colors that have aged beautifully for its period. On the Design: Admirers of the craft may admire the geometric patterns in the large-sized medallion and open field style, with meanders of several borders around. It’s clearly a work of the best dye, with fine detail and the vibrant, saturated colors among the many personal elements that give Kilims their beauty and irreplaceable old-world charm.
