72489 vintage Turkish Oushak rug with Tribal Artisan style. This hand knotted wool vintage Turkish Oushak rug embodies an Artisan style. Immersed in Anatolian history and warm colors, this vintage Oushak rug features a center medallion filled with a cruciform (cross symbol) composed from the Elibelinde (hands on hips) and Ram's Horn motif at either end. The medallion is outlined with latch-hook edges and dotted with eight-point flowers in an open abrashed field flanked with a chandelier pendant on either end. Cream spandrels in each corner contrast beautifully with the series of borders. The primary border contains repeating ziggurat mounds with latch-hook edges are filled with roundels, rosettes, and ram's Horn motifs. A rustic terra cotta zigzag with beige arrows runs through the ziggurat mounds. The main border is flanked with subsidiary guard borders.
