About the Item

This vintage 4x7 rug is a new addition to Rug & Kilim’s Mid-Century Pasha Collection. This line is a commemoration, with rare curations we believe to hail from multidisciplinary Turkish designer Zeki Müren. This particular design exemplifies Müren’s talent for recapturing a wide range of aesthetics in his own mid-century style. Connoisseurs may observe Art Deco and classic Anatolian sensibilities at work in the geometric patterns. Keen eyes will further note subdued colors like light pink and sky blue, and admire their playful accent to the beige-brown. It's a forgiving piece with a neutral presence, but also a nod to Müren’s love of playful details. Further on the Condition: This mid-century rug further enjoys an otherwise good condition for this provenance. Keen eyes will note the pile has been lowered, and admire the shabby-chic, distressed look it lends the piece.
