About the Item

This vintage rug is an exciting new addition to Rug & Kilim’s mid-century Pasha collection. This line is a commemoration, with rare curations we believe to hail from multidisciplinary Turkish designer Zeki Müren. Measure: 5x6. Hand-knotted in wool circa 1960-1970, this particular rug embodies Müren’s playful interpretations of classic carpets. The geometric patterns and vibrant green, gold and red colors evoke a tribal feeling, even that of Moroccan rugs. It’s a collectible piece that embodies the bold, expressive style that sets Müren apart—both in his time and ours. Further on the Condition: This mid-century rug further enjoys an otherwise good condition for this provenance. Keen eyes will note the pile has been lowered, and admire a chic, distressed look it lends the texture.
