About the Item

Hand-knotted in wool circa 1960, this 3x6 vintage runner rug is a new curation from Rug & Kilim’s Mid-Century Pasha Collection. This line is a commemoration, with rare curations believed to hail from multidisciplinary Turkish designer Zeki Müren. On the Design: The design speaks to the industrial art deco sensibility in this artist’s mid-century works inspired by the 1920s style. It enjoys colorful motifs in a trellis with geometric patterns in gold, red and black on a teal field. Keen eyes may further admire a subtle sage green accent in the undertones—one of the many playful colors so exemplary of Müren’s style and its unique sense of whimsy. Condition: This mid-century runner further enjoys an otherwise good condition for this shabby-chic style, and is ready for the floor. Keen eyes will note the pile has been lowered to preserve the construction, which lends it a distressed texture.
