"Fluid Onde" is a hand-carved round rug by designer Deanna Comellini, founder and art director of G.T.DESIGN, Italian design company pioneer in the field of contemporary rugs.
Conceived for complex architectural projects, "Fluid Onde" is a hand-tufted and hand-carved rug suitable for residential developments, commercial spaces, and interior design projects for the hospitality industry.
The high-performance yarns are woven using a handmade technique and the weave is customized with inlay designs resulting in one-of-a-kind pieces. This innovative form of craftsmanship is applied to create design in relief patterns while keeping the rug’s elegant and understated composition.
"Fluid Onde" in the color 'corda' resembles the desert waves bringing a three-dimensional element to modern and classic interiors.

About the designer:
Deanna Comellini is an artist and a designer.
For over 40 years, she has experimented by combining craftsmanship and industrial design while working first on product design and later on textiles. She has developed the notion of ‘imperfect design’, highlighting the minor flaws of materials and handmade products that make them unique and one-of-a-kind. In the 1990s, she focused on the concept of the contemporary rug and natural materials while innovating the industry with a new textile for interior design. In 1977, she founded G.T.DESIGN taking on the role of Creative Director. She participated in prestigious international exhibitions and collaborated with important architectural figures, including Toyo Ito and the Zaha Hadid Architects studio.
In 2022, Deanna Comellini was named one of the 100 Most Influential Women by Forbes Italy.

She also uses modern technical yarns such as viscose to give an incomparable sheen and color depth to the Kama rug, among the company’s bestselling products and a trend setter in the industry.
