"Fluid" by Deanna Comellini - art director of the Italian contemporary rug company G.T.DESIGN - is an innovative hand-tufted rug realized in a wool and nylon blend suitable for many environments, from residential developments, to commercial spaces to interior design projects for the hospitality industry.
Fluid’s high performance yarn is woven with a handmade technique that allows to customize the textures with inlay designs, bouclé and cut pile finishes resulting in one-on-kind pieces. This form of craftsmanship is applied to design in relief patterns while keeping an elegant composition of the rug.
In the model "Onde" and color 34, its esthetic and functional qualities make it a suitable complement for indoor areas such as living, dining and bedrooms. Its texture resembles the naturally fluid weave of the desert and beautifully matches materials such as marble and concrete, bringing a sculptural finishing to the architectural elements of the house.
The Fluid collection features a vast range of personalization by client request, including oversize rugs, thickness variations, finishes and bespoke colors. Thanks to its revolutionary approach for large size rugs and its precious elements of high level craftsmanship, the collection was selected to be included in exclusive projects by top international architectural firms such as Zaha Hadid Architects and Gensler.
