Contemporary Minimalist White/Black Tibetan Rug Designed by Jonathan Wajskol

About the Item

'Planned Causality' is the second of two patterns conceived by the leading NY designer Jonathan Wajskol for our current gallery exhibition. Here the artist pays homage to Japanese Minimalism by devising a pattern of wide black brushstrokes sweeping across a pure white background. The refined equilibrium between chaos and order is what characterises his art, it being very efficiently transposed onto this carpet. The fineness of the weave, coupled with the use of hand-spun, silky Himalyan highland wool, imparts a luxurious quality to the composition. This example is conceived as a one-off but can be customised to any size.
