Hand-knotted in wool, an antique 12x20 oversized Axminster rug originating from England circa 1920-1930 - now joining our antique collection.
On the Design:
The piece enjoys beige-brown, red and green tones underscoring a geometric pattern married to a high-and-low texture. This palace rug is a fabulous work of dimension and depth like few that remain of its kind, and even few of this palace size.
The rug is further a masterpiece of English rug weaving in its feat of scale and quality alone, not to mention an extremely collectible piece made for the best spaces.

The antique Axminster rug thrives in great condition for its age and lineage.
