Wonderful French Aubusson style screen printed by hand tapestry with nice design of hunters at town and beautiful colors, screen printed by hand in art edition of Rambouillet, manufacturing on wool, jute and cotton.
From an Aubusson tapestry, mid-18th century. Aubusson weavers, who traditionally created "verdures" or "bocages," turned to rural and pastoral scenes and created a style of tapestries called "rustic." This tapestry illustrates this. Hunters and pretty ladies rest and chat peacefully in a verdant, rural setting.
