About the Item

Carpet after a carton by Francis Bacon of 1927. In fact, although this carpet bears the signature of DA SILVA BRUHNS, it is pertinent to note that a carpet with an identical cardboard but with the signature of Francis Bacon, and Different colors, was presented at the 1929 London Decorative Arts Exhibition (owned by the Victoria & Albert Museum.)
